KEEPING IT SIMPLE
Why do I keep saying "keep it simple"?
Well, one thing I noticed from some of the GREAT blogs and websites out there is LONG lists of EVERYTHING on sale w/coupons to match, etc...
I found myself spending so much time reading lists and then, when I would go to my coupon stash, I would not have half of the coupons listed because of the different areas or I might have already used that coupon.
So, I found it much easier to just get the ad myself, circle the items I was interested in and THEN making sure I did not miss something or to see if there were any printable coupons that I might could use. Much more simple and less time consuming for me.
I really did not need those lists of everything on sale (I had the ads) --- I just really needed ideas on how to use some of the specials and how it all worked.
So, when I say keep it simple, I want to do that with my posts. I hope I am giving ideas and info that will inspire you to get out your ads and see what is going to work for you. You are not going to find a LONG list of every coupon that could be used with the sale on this blog. I hope to post things that stand out to me or that I think most of us will use.
I will post my shopping trips to show you exactly how it went for me (good or bad)!!!
I would love to hear how some of you shop and any ideas you have for this blog.

WINN DIXIE RAINCHECKS
Okay, I hear that WD is out of a lot of things on the deals list this week. Wow, that many people are listening to me? Haha, just kidding. So what to do?
RAINCHECKS
Go to the service desk and ask for a raincheck for ALL the items you are looking for that are out of stock. You can tell them a quantity also. You may want to get (6) of the items on sale.
I do this all the time. Great way to still get the deals.
WD wants you to show the raincheck slip to the cashier BEFORE the item is scanned.
Rainchecks mean no rushing to the store for the sales and it is all part of keeping it simple!!!!
Don't fret, get a raincheck!!!! ha, just made that up ---- nice huh?

I am super excited!! A new produce stop in Semmes!!! They had a large vaiety of items and the prices were reasonable. They are going to provide a price list ASAP. They will also run an ad in the Sunday Press Register. I might even talk them into some coupons. Wooohooo!!!
This is what I saw for a good deal:
Bread .99
10 lb bag of potatoes for .99
Bananas .59 lb
Navel Oranges .59 each or 2/$1
Small oranges 5/$1 or .29 each
The set up was real nice. They even had bread, ice cream freezer, cold drinks, 2 ltr. drinks, pickle jars and peanuts. Lots of greens and fruits. Great location, great parking.
I am sure they will have some wonderful locally grown seasonal veggies this summer. Yummyy!!!
