Sav A Lot - Lucedale

About once a month I take a little drive to the Lucedale Sav-A-Lot.

Lucedale is about 20 miles west of Semmes/Wilmer. However, the drive is awesome compared to Mobile's traffic and takes the same amount of TIME! I love the drive through the country and it was such a beautiful day today. It was so relaxing -- driving, singing praise songs --- that's what I call JOYFUL SHOPPING!! Is your shopping Joyful?

Sav A Lot in Lucedale does accept clipped coupons (manufacturer) but does NOT accept internet printable coupons (because Lucedale's Sav A Lot is independently owned, they do NOT even accept the coupons printed from the Sav A Lot website --- not too smart, I know but that is their policy).

Why shop Sav A Lot?

Bread --- they have their bread $1.09 and I love the way it freezes --- so much better than other brands. I usually buy (6) loaves --- also hot dog and hamburger buns.

Eggs -- 2 1/2 dozen-- varies between $2.89 - $3.49 --- $3.49 right now. We eat a lot of eggs so I buy (2) 2 1/2 dozen when I go to Sav A Lot. Beats Winn-Dixie's $4.79 price!!!

French Fries --- 5 lb bags $4 -- We love these fries -- long but not too skinny. This beats Winn-Dixie's price of $6.99!!!

Sausage --- I know, I know, we are not supposed to eat sausage but I was raised on a hog farm so it is not my fault. I even started to name my blog "The Hog Farmer's Daughter" --- but MOM would have a fit so I didn't. LOL..... Anyway......... Conecuh sausage is $3.39 -- beats Winn-Dixie's $4.19!!! Also had another brand for $1.99.

Red Hots --- My hubby loves these things but I can't stand them --- $4 -- beats Winn-Dixie's price of $4.99.

Carolina Pride Hot Dog weiners 21 pk - $4

I usually spend around $50 on a Sav A Lot trip, may or may not use coupons, save a little money on (instead of meat) items and have a wonderful drive in the country. Sure beats going to Airport Blvd. and getting in the traffic!!!!

Do you ever go WEST to shop? Would love to know some other great places to stop while I am there.

Joyful shopping and keep it simple, Ginger
