CVS SHOPPING TRIP 3/28/10

I am getting prepared for our weekend outing and Kasey's birthday party so I am looking for some deals.

Here is how my CVS trip went today:

Scanned card (2) times at price scanner : received $4 off $20 purchase and (2) $1 off CVS products.

1st transaction

Cover Girl ---- Spend $20 and get $8 ECB
Cover Girl foundation (the kind I use) 8.99
Cover Girl Mineral Powder 12.99
(want to try for the heat of summer)

Total to pay 21.98 (I don't think so!!!!)

This is how I paid:
(1) $4 off $20 purchase coupon -4.00
(1) Buy One Get One Free from S insert -8.99
(1) $1 off Covergirl Product S insert -.100
(1) $1 off Covergirl Product CVS coupon -1.00

New Total to pay $6.99
(1) $3 ECB from last trip posted here -3.00

FINAL TOTAL TO PAY OUT OF POCKET $3.99 OR $1.98 EACH
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL ----------

I RECIEVED AN $8 ECB COUPON PRINTED ON RECEIPT!!! I actually MADE $1.00 on that transaction.

2nd transaction

3 Day Sale (3) 12 pk Coke products 10.00 + receive $3.00 ECB
(6) Campbell's Chunky Soup (Kasey's fav) BOGO 9.57
(3) 2-ltr Cokes 3.00
(1) Bread 1.99 (yikes!)

Total to pay 24.56 (No, I don't want to :0))

This is how I paid:
(1) $4 off $20 purchase coupon from scanner -4.00
(1) $1.50 off (3) Chunky soup found here -1.50
(1) $1.00 off (3) Chunky soup found here -1.00

New total to pay $18.06
Used $8 ECB received from transaction #1 - 8.00

FINAL FOR ALL $3.99 (#1) + $10 (#2) = $13.99 + tax + received a $3 ECB for next visit.

TOTAL WITHOUT COUPONS = $46.54, that's a savings of $32.55!!!

But that's not all --- I can use the Cover Girl purchase toward this P&G coupon booklet. Yay!!!

Now that is easy and simple so get out those clipped coupons and work some deals for your family and home , Ginger
